It fully retains Capitalism but forces it to work for the greater good and not just the damn billionaires.

has turned back into robber baron extortion.

"Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest men, for the nastiest of motives, will somehow work together for the benefit of all."
Attributed to E.A.G. Robinson - Cambridge University Economist 1897-1993

Capitalism is like fire. Controlled, it can do work and keep you nice and warm. Uncontrolled, it will burn your house down.

Not like a five pack of sparklers.

Until we do that, there is little else to do.

Just ask the Swedes, the Danes, the Finns, virtually every civilized country. I don't count my home country in that group. In Sweden, if you have a good idea, and can get some start up money, you can strike out on your own without fear of abject poverty if things don't go to plan. That's why so many of them are innovation hotbeds. They've taken then practical side of both worlds and merged them into a form of rational social capitalism.

But, it is going to take more than legislation to stop the rich oligarchs in this country.

And, we don't seem interested in changing it anyway.

Which is enough to make me wail like a newborn. But, we'd rather enrich a few than make sure everyone is sufficient.

The programming worked.

comprise Trump's base. One-third of this country's population. One-third are social and economic progressives who believe in equality for all in both areas. One-third are procrastinating, wishy-washy "Joe Six-Packs," who usually vote on single issues, or who make up their minds on the way to, or even within, the voting booths.

Dog help us.

vote on single issues:

They hate Mexicans who might get a job they might want
They hate women - especially any woman who might get an abortion that they don't approve of.
They hate LGBTQ people
They are scared of "socialism" (which does not exist in the US and never has, but FASCISM does). Yet, they completely ignore that and/or are blind to it because they're too busy looking for non-existent socialism.

Oh, but they LOVE their family. They just refuse to vote FOR their family - to get or continue to get Medicare and Social Security or Healthcare (ACA), for instance. Or to have clean air to breathe or clean water to drink. Or a healthy planet to live on.

Why? Because it's more important for them to vote AGAINST those people they hate than to vote FOR those they allegedly "love".

And OH, they are CHRISTIANS don'tchaknow. Just don't expect them to ACT like it or VOTE like it, because that ain't happening.

Pure goddamned insanity.
