Linda Yaccarino (former CEO of X): "this is actually one of the scariest things I have seen. it won't stop here."

The super-rich are not worried about their car dying, or if they can afford daycare, how to feed a family & clothe growing children. They don't consider skipping a medication b/c of its cost.
But the rich want to feel oppressed, so they pretend slightly higher taxes is life or death. How dare they

1. Yaccarino can either have the rich pay their fair share so others don't starve, or see the rich on the menu.

You have elected a Mayor who is, indeed, fulfilling his promises--opening grocery stores, funding childcare and taxing the rich to pay their fair share.

It is a sight to behold, as in inspiring.

If that's one of one of the scariest things she's seen I guess she's not tracking guillotine futures.

And something that should be keeping us all up at night:

... even though they're only going to use it for maybe one or two weeks out of the year.

Why? Because it's a nice investment that they can sell for a profit in a few years. And because they can avoid the New York hotels where they would have to walk through the lobby and rub shoulders with all those icky middle class working people.

Mayor Mamdani is doing exactly the right thing - tax those rich fuckers. Tax them until they feel it.

There mass shootings every week in the USA, but taxing the rich, thats whats really scary to you

You should visit an oncology wing of a children's hospital. Take a visit to a school shooting memorial. Hell, spend a day waiting in line at DES to wait and hear if you'll qualify to afford groceries this month. But a luxury tax on a second home worth more than $5M is "the scariest thing" you've ever seen?

fuck all the way off, you moralless cretin 🗽☺️

Being rewarded millions of dollars for leading a company that was producing anti-semitic and pro-Hitler content is much scarier than this, but let’s agree to disagree. I do hope that you’re correct in assuming
@ZohranKMamdani
won’t stop here. Next stop: luxury yachts!

You'd think the sky was falling from the RW reaction.

"It will hurt the Seahawks ability to sign free agents!", "how long till the Libs apply it to all of us?", and lots of Joe the Plumbers filing suit because they aspire to have a million dollars in income when they're nowhere near.

If you make $1,001,000, your state income tax is $100. Boo hoo hoo.
