MI-SEN: McMorrow seizes Senate fundraising lead. Rogers holds cash advantage

Washington ― State Sen. Mallory McMorrow raised more money than any candidate in the U.S. Senate field by hauling in over $3 million last quarter in her bid for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat, while Republican Mike Rogers has the largest war chest ahead of the fall midterm elections, with $4.2 million in the bank.

The successful fundraising quarter is a boost for McMorrow in the competitive Democratic primary contest, where the three candidates each have struggled to break away from the pack.

"This is huge," McMorrow said in a video posted to social media.

McMorrow's total receipts for the first three months of the year included $48,000 bundled by the liberal pro-Israel J Street PAC. Her haul topped that of physician Abdul El-Sayed of Ann Arbor (nearly $2.3 million in receipts) and U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens of Birmingham, who had led the primary contenders in overall fundraising last year.

Interesting. Maybe we should just not vote. The person who raised the most money 💰 should win? Srkdqltr Thursday #2

I understand. The amount of money seems to to be a big deal as to if a person will win. Srkdqltr Thursday #4

She's great and most of her funds came from small donations.
