Trumps war on Iran continues to plummet in popularity among Americans.
A new poll from CBS News/YouGov, conducted between April 8 and April 10, revealed some damning findings about domestic sentiments over Trumps war on Iran, showing that more Americans are starting to become fed up with the administrations antics.
The poll found that most Americans feel uncomfortable with the war, with 68 percent worried, 57 percent stressed, and 54 percent angry about the conflict. The poll also found that only 32 percent feel either safe or confident about the conflict, and 29 percent feel proud about the United Statess role in it.
Americans polled said that the top priorities for the war are to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and its oil access, make sure Irans people are safe and free, stop the nations nuclear programs, and stop it from threatening other countries.

That "proud" 29% ain't budgin' any time soon.

(25,168 posts)There could be lots of Independents who also don't know that, and maybe even some D's. We can't assume that people are paying attention.

(23,714 posts)...that things are SO VOLATILE and JINGOISTIC and saturated in toxic male masculinity in the messaging from Trump & Hegseth (and everyone carrying their water) that "maybe" Dems are stepping back so Grampy can hang himself with his own rope.
I spoke with a friend in Southern California who said she's paying 6 bucks per gallon for gas. Here, it's pushing 5 bucks.
And we went to the grocery store today and dropped $125 on groceries that may have been doubled in volume at this time a year ago.
The only "wild card" here is how much of this he can blame on Biden, or Obama, and we've heard him "vent" about Obama's nuke deal. And he's running just as fast as his little bone spur-ridden feet will take him to get BACK TO IT, but without Obama's SIGNATURE, which will make it SO MUCH BETTER.
That's the pathology we're dealing with. He wanted to erase one more piece of Obama's legacy while distracting us from Epstein.
Sounds stupid as all hell, I know, but also accurate as hell.

(76,977 posts)Worried, stressed, angry aren't alternatives to proud.
Ashamed, embarrassed or the like.
Then 32% confident.
Where was the choice for pessimistic? Yeah they asked about how it's going and some said badly. But going badly is not the opposite of "confident".
I just found the framing of the whole poll odd.
