There were reports of near record turnout in many places. That doesn't square with 9 million fewer people showing up.

It's fairly easy to target voters for elimination from the rolls, as groups like TrueTheVote did nationwide. That's one way to get higher turnout in lines but fewer counted votes. No kooky theory needed.
