(5,107 posts)I'll worry about it later. I probably should have gone to CostCo, but that's the next town over. The older I get the less I like to drive distances.

(27,194 posts)Wednesday: I filled up at Costco it was $5.09 my husband filled up Monday and it was $4.79. 30 cent increase in ,3 days. Were driving to LA and Phoenix next week and I shudder to think of the increasing gas prices. But I wont get on an airplane now since the 🍊🐖💩 took over.

(15,349 posts)Average price per gallon regular with Credit/Debit tends to run $5.69, and Premium is hovering around $5.89 (they love to put their prices in penny or 9 cent increments)
Nearer to the airport, they're around $6 for unleaded.
Gas Buddy and AAA are your friends, if you don't have electric vehicles.
And what's with the weather?
All I can say is "Fuck the Billionaires, they did this".
60 years of Neo-Liberal "Capital Must Be Served" BS caused this. Their selfish 6 year old spoiled brat mentality is why the World can't have nice things.
On edit, we got an EV (Hyundai Ionic 9 SUV) last year when we still could get rebates; until we can get a charging station put in the house, we pay $0.32 to &0.45 a KWH for charge every three/4 days; it being a large SUV (hauling folks and large amounts of things) vehicle we typically pay on average $22 for a 70% charge that gets us anywhere from 250 to 325 miles, depending on if we're just doing local commuting or going into the mountains or hauling heavy loads.
Just waiting for SDGE raise prices on us to pay for "Infrastructure improvements" like treating pay-out insurance claims for causing wildfires, fixing their own mis-management or providing infrastructure maintenance.
All situations they treat like emergency costs that, if they were set up like a service provider rather than an investment capital firm, should already have been estimated and provided for out years ago and rolled into a cost of doing business.

(26,062 posts)Prices vary by as much as 40 cents around here. The best deal is Costco as usual.

Areas are color coded according to their price for the average price for regular unleaded gasoline. (GasBuddy)
