Hes been posting absolute trash for a long time, and while the exact mix of who is crafting it for him may vary, the content has been hideous the whole time. There is no evidence that it has cost him a single vote in any election.

The people who support him support him. Best I can tell, maybe 20% of voters voted for him in spite of his comments, but that leaves about 30% who vote for him because of those comments. Three times in a row, they did it. 62 million people, then 74 million, then 77 million, if the US electoral system is to be believed.
