1. The first casualty of war is the truth

First, I want to make it clear that I would never believe anything that comes from the Government of Iran, just like I would never believe anything coming from Putin or Russia. I'm certain this is true of most Americans.

The problem we are facing today is, many people do not believe anything that comes from the con artist and his administration.

Add in all the disinformation that flies around Elon's cesspool on top of this, we are in very trying times when it comes to garning facts and truth.

Or does he also only like war heroes who don’t get captured?

This administration is lying. Americans are being killed or captured and they are covering it up. And we may have boots on the ground already.

and a tiny handful or independent media sources but I am very cautious about those. I start by assuming most everything else I see has something to sell me, including this. But I also fully expect the current regime of this country to lie and obfuscate as much and and as often as possible.

Critical thinking… The truth is somewhere in the middle as is true for most conflicts of any sort.

for Iran to prove. Allow the Red Cross/Crescent to see the POWs and bring proof they exist and are alive.

You can’t just lose troops. Not even SF troops.
The claims of hundreds dead etc are not possible. There would need to be 10’s of thousands keeping it quiet. The bases are large but tight. People just don’t disappear unnoticed. The troops on most basis can literally call home often. A captured or killed troop would be known and out via internet and calls almost immediately. They try and lock things down for hours until family is notified, and that doesn’t even always work.

Information to their populace and feed them what ever perception they want. The people have no ability to dispute anything so the leadership believes that anything they say will be accepted as fact.
The difference now is they are releasing this BS to the world not under their control.

Iranian people are historically stuck. That’s why the Baghdad Bob mentality we saw in past Middle East conflict just stands out. When you have open media even the families would be reaching out to the news if there loved ones were missing or dead.

After Hogshit basically saying the US wouldn’t abide by rules of engagement, I wouldn’t be surprised if Iran says “fuck the Geneva convention”. There’s no expectation of humane treatment at this point. Then again we saw Abu Ghraib so don’t be surprised at further atrocities.
