Had long talk Wednesday afternoon with my primary physician, she believes I have an Anxiety problem
and is the reason I'm still losing weight even though I changed my diet to fating foods. She wants me to
wean myself off of politics and news until I beat my cancer. I'm taking her advice.
Currently the tumor has taken over my entire head below the ears, before breakfast, lunch & supper I need
to take 2 extra strength Tylenol to be able to eat, jaw moving up and down hurts.
Couple things I wish our Party would do.........
1) Offer 10 million dollars to whoever has proof Elon Musk's software stole the 2024 election, believe the
talented computer hackers would start working overtime and if they did find indisputable evidence that the
last election was indeed stolen, all hell would break loose in our favor.
2) Get plans in place to have exit polls in place at every polling location every hour they are open just in
case Musk is up to his old dirty tricks.
3) Start a campaign "Make sure Rs allow you to vote in November"
Now I'll stop worrying about politics since I said that, there's a lot of people I'll miss chatting with every
day and hopefully I'll beat this cancer and get back here.
This is also my official resignation from the MIRT team.

Focus on the beauty and the good things around you as much as you possibly can. Breathe. I can't stress this enough, take time to just be and breathe every day.
I wish you healing, health and peace. Maybe someday we'll both be back on MIRT again.

(3,888 posts)... though in different bodily real estate, so I can empathize bigly. I often said that I didn't know I had cancer, but I sure as hell know I got cured, many of the side effects of which are permanent, at least in my case.
As everyone warmly suggests, take it easy, focus on taking care of yourself, don't worry as much about taking care of others, as is your predilection, I suspect, and especially, think positive; this shit can get you down. Don't let it. A little humor is a good weapon, too.

(320 posts)I think you may be pleasantly surprised at the stress-relief caused by NOT following politics/current events.
I'm normally glued to computer hours a day, refreshing or exploring sites for additional information. But hubby has some health issues, and on a weekly (or semi-weekly) occasion I deliver him to rehab door, or consultation room, and I'm away from the "news." As I wait in the car, I read or work crossword puzzles; and to make my trip(s) more efficient (I live in the boonies & travel to the "big city" for medical), I do a bit of grocery shopping, etc. after the appointment. When I get home, I find that I'm feeling better after a 4-6 hour break from "the news." And while I think how much better I could feel with a complete absence, I lack the will-power to NOT turn on the computer.
All I'm saying is that I hope your time away is VERY stress relieving, and encourages progress on your journey of caring for yourself first.

Your health is paramount. Everything else in your life revolves around that fact.
You'll be missed a lot, but I understand totally.
My Dr. told me to cut back on political activity as well after The Big Orange Fascist Pig 🐖 was re-selected. I took a few months off and it did me a world of good. I'm thinking of doing it again, because 3 more years of this tRump shit-show will definitely get my blood pressure rising again.
Get healthy, my friend, and maybe resume light activity down the road sometime. Your daily "condensed cartoon" feature will be greatly missed, but we need you healthy more than anything else!

I am a little leery of the web I see these days as I worry there is a layer of creepy social engineering in between that I plan to raise hell over. But that aside, I am sorry to hear this..
I have a suspicion something super-sleazy that uses timing and snips of data to orchestrate a moronic pattern is in between fueled by garbage ai and parasitic bullshit studies by humans who fail to get that in some of these instances (which mine definitely was and is), treating the real world or web as a free for all was shockingly stupid and will result in muscular harassment, misconduct and malpractice allegations not cute theatre and dog and pony shows.
Sorry, these tangents were about some parasitic data scientists and researchers in between. I was never in anything seriously and now I am and it wont end well.
