(3,413 posts)Despite the media narrative that hes some kind of party rebel, John Fetterman still votes with Democrats about 9091% of the time on votes where the parties are split.
For context:
Most Democratic senators: vote with the party about 9598% of the time
Moderate Democrats: usually around 8894%
Fetterman: roughly 9091%
So he breaks with Democrats a little more often than the average senator, but hes nowhere near the level of past outliers like Joe Manchin or Kyrsten Sinema, who often voted with Democrats closer to the 8087% range.
Hes basically a moderate Democrat who still votes with the party about nine out of ten times.

(20,462 posts)Whats not found in those numbers are all of the votes on legislation that was never brought forward by Schumer because he knew Manchin ( and Sinema) would be a no. And within that 20 percent, when that pig actually showed his true colors and sided with the GOP, were some big votes. That he was with Dems on building wastewater treatment plants in Bumblefuck, USA doesnt erase that.

He's pro ICE and pro illegal wars
On the big showy votes, he abandons the Dems. Yes...we're on the same page. For self-preservation back home in PA, he needs to throw meat to Independents and Republicans to have a chance of staying in power. Not a PA resident, but I want him out too. Just leans in WAAAAAY too much with the FOX News crowd.

(573 posts)Im trying to find the numbers, but I think hes dropped to below 75% votes with Democrats. Perhaps the source I was reading was misleading, but to announce your aye for Mullin before a whisper of a confirmation hearing is odd for a moderate democrat. I may have been swayed by our liberal media, but I sense his allegiances to the Democratic Party have softened. That being said, at 75%, I believe hes more valuable as a Democrat than a Republican.
