Iran reached out to CIA to discuss end of conflict, Trump is saying it's too late

The contact landed as Iran’s leadership structure was thrown into deeper disarray by continued Israeli strikes, complicating even the basic question of who can commit Iran to any ceasefire.

Iran’s surviving leaders have publicly projected defiance and refused to negotiate with US President Donald Trump to halt the American and Israeli assault on their country. But operatives from Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence quietly reached out indirectly to the CIA with an offer to discuss terms for ending the conflict, according to officials briefed on the outreach cited by The New York Times.

The contact, delivered through another country’s intelligence service, landed as Iran’s leadership structure was thrown into deeper disarray by continued Israeli strikes, complicating even the basic question of who can commit Iran to any ceasefire, the report said. US officials described the approach as not serious for now, and said they were skeptical that either Washington or Tehran is genuinely ready for an immediate off-ramp.

The White House and Iranian officials did not respond to requests for comment, according to the report. The CIA declined to comment.

Currently they are running out of missiles , drones etc.... it maybe over sooner.... Now, that does not mean Iran won't have sleeper cell activity....but a formal announcement will be soon....

Just realize, tRump and BB can never beat Iran...

Additionally....we have many dead Americans....the media is controlled wherein no one can report out of the Middle East essentially....some is now getting thru but body counts won't be done by the USA....just like with COVID counting was controlled when epidemic...

Might be small numbers to assist the Kurds if they go that route or more significant numbers. I think the fact that has become sort of a de-facto red line in the overarching narrative tempts him because he likes crossing red lines and doing impulsive, dumb shit.

Trump craves coastal real estate. He has probably already drawn up plans for Trump City along the Straits of Hormuz - like Dubai but golden, tackier, cheaply made and built on death and misfortune of others. And why not -there will be casinos. And a toll gate for every passing tanker to pay homage to his diapered highness.
