(6,230 posts)Neither is Turkey or China. Iran will have a hard time to continue to fight with weapons running out as Irani ports are blocked and the attacking duo have complete control of sky's . Already number of ballistic missiles fired are lower by 50%.

(6,230 posts)All of Iran's 11 ships have been sunk. Iran's ballistic missiles are already being launched at less than half rate today compared to yesterday. Where is Russia's help?

Hello.

(5,927 posts)...that's the easy part.
The hard part is replacing it with something stable.
I think the likely plan is to use the Kurds as the boots on the ground, and install Pahlavi to head an interim government.
The question becomes, what will the Kurds be given in exchange? And will the rest of the country be OK with it? Not to mention holdouts who prefer Sharia law and a Shia Islamic government.

(5,927 posts)The Kurdish people have been desiring their own country for ages.
The Peshmerga (iraqi Kurdish military group) are a ready force of 150,000+ armed and ready troops. More interesting is that about 2/3rds of those troops are the direct control of two Kurdish nationalist parties (Kurdistan Democratic Party and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) that would be very interested in seeing a Kurdish state carved out of Iran's borders.
There are already reports of Iraqi Kurdish troops moving into Iran.

(10,918 posts)Iran has hundreds of thousands of missiles under the mountains and its reported it makes hundreds of middles every day. Israel & US are running out of intercepts - have less than 2 weeks left. Iran took out a billion dollar radar thats needed by missile defence and a billion dollar THAAD.

(22,666 posts)Although I have seen more than a few "Draft Barron Trump" posts on social media.
But most of the Republicans cheering Trump on don't have sons and daughters in uniform that Trump will feed into the wood chipper.
It's "someone else's problem," "someone else's children" who will go fight Trump's "Let's Not Talk About Epstein" war.
