Because this country was never meant to belong to one man, one ego, one grievance-gorging machine. It was meant to be, as Lincoln said, “government of the people, by the people, for the people,” and that doesn’t evaporate because some dumbass wannabe tyrant louder than the rest of us thinks he owns the goddamn microphone.

And after last night, after that hug, after those rooms, after twenty-three thousand people gathered in a space we built, I know in my bones what I knew in 2019 when everything in my life felt like it was burning down: we are not done.

We are ascendant. We are phoenixes rising from the wreckage with soot on our faces and fire in our lungs. We are not backing down. We are not giving up.

So let’s fucking go.
