Just watched Spanberger's SOTU response.

One of the best opposition presentations I've seen from either party in my four decades of following politics.

The contrast between her and Trump was stark.

ie I could see that as the ticket in 2028. Kelly is too conservative for me personally, but I think he would be a good President. She would b a good one, too.

It was okay. This is sort of like when I read the comments from people about Biden being the best president of their lifetime. We have a few people who were born under FDR. It just feels forced, like the comments about Spanberger. She did fine. It was not in any way monumental.

and I think Biden was the best president of my lifetime. He had a microscopic house majority and a tied senate and he still got an immense amount done in those two years. He also help save the Ukraine from falling. Israel was a mess to be sure but otherwise it is hard to argue he didn't do the best that could be done.

Biden is No. 3 on my list, though I was born in the late 70s so it’s a slightly smaller sample size.

I don't remember another response to the SOTU that was so impressive.

Of course some of those were the likes of Katie Britt and Bobby Jindal.

Authentic, natural, forcefully, with the right tone. Positive, even flashes of joy. And joy is a powerful act of resistance to fascism. They want us terrified, depressed, demoralized. She showed that we are not cowed.
