The projected speech length takes

Crumb the 1st into the same sphere as Hitler. His hero and "leitgeist" (guiding spirit). The long speeches were meant to:

"instill the Hitler myth deeply into the hearts of the faithful".

Think about all of these "rallies" Crumb the 1st constantly held around the country and how deeply indoctrinated into the cult of personality those people became. Some willingly, some gradually but in the end not unlike Nuremberg.
