The AI-using creeps on YoyTube making clickbait videos of Jimmy Kimmel or Rachel Maddow or other celebrities supposedly saying things they wish they'd say are treating those people as puppets. Same is true for whoever made up this fake quote and attributed it to Macron.

referred to "a 79-year-old man." It was changed to the "cry baby" wording quite a bit later. But I haven't been able to find a news source for the earlier wording, either. Just a bunch of social media posts about what was apparently an invented quote.

You should realize that IF Macron had actually said that - either version - there would have been a lot of real news stories about it.

There aren't any. Just a lot of social media posts. I checked a number of them, and none referred to a real source.

But it reflects a common sentiment around the world, so it is still valid just for that.

Editing to add that I didn't see anything about this on Reddit. Their mods are pretty good about getting rid of fakes very quickly, and they simply delete them.
