Macron heralds club of countries banning kids from social media

"This is a new 'coalition of willings' in order to protect our children and teenagers, Macron said in his speech at the AI Impact Summit organized by India, adding he was looking for all willing partners to make this vision happen."

I remember my wife and I deciding when our children would be old enough for cell phones. This was before cell phones did anything more than phone calls and texts. ( I still use a cell phone like that. ) We decided high school was the appropriate age and it was almost true, as they argued, that "most" of their friends already had cell phones by then.
DemocraticUnderground is my only social media and I've blacklisted most of the major social media sites so I imagine if I still had any children younger than 16 their pleas to access this social media on their own phones would fall on deaf ears.
