Meanwhile in Oregon, a Trump appointed judge shows how it's done!

A Salem man who paid sex traffickers in the Philippines for livestreamed shows of child sexual abuse was sentenced Thursday to 21 years and eight months in prison.

Steven D. Griswold, 44, was arrested in the Philippines in December 2023 and then returned to the United States, where he has been held in custody since.

U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut adopted the sentence jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense lawyer.

“You orchestrated the serial sexual abuse of a horrific nature against very young children,” Immergut said. “In that sense, you were a predator.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Charlotte Kelley urged a lifetime of supervision for Griswold given “the egregiousness” of his crime and the need to protect the community.

“He should never be unsupervised in the community,” she said.

Immergut agreed and imposed supervision for life.

And I would argue that the same should apply to every other convicted pedophile.
