?w=775
More than 400 pounds of marijuana were found in trash bags near Lochbuie.
On Feb. 13, Weld County Sheriffs Office deputies responded to the 15000 block of Weld County 6, where a property owner reported several trash bags being dumped in front of his property.
When deputies opened the bags, they found suspected marijuana leaves, according to a Weld County Sheriffs Office news release. More trash bags full of suspected marijuana were also found west of the property.
Deputies found 427 pounds of suspected marijuana, which were left in a secure area to dry, booked into evidence and are set for destruction, according to the release. The most common form of destruction for drugs is incineration.
Deputies currently have no suspect leads for this case, according to a Weld County Sheriffs Office spokesperson.

That's odd since cannabis is legal in Colorado. Maybe a legal grower disposing

excess product? The photo shows the bags sitting near a dumpster.

The dumpster was probably full. I mean, it's legal there, right? Sure, it sounds like a damn shame; but perhaps someone was just trimming their bushes and it's all stem and leaf with no bud.
