About the Olympics -- specifically, CURLING

As anyone who has watched the Winter Olympics knows, the absolutely most fascinating, breathtaking, high-speed, life-threatening, death-defying sport is - - - CURLING.

In fact, a couple of days ago, a curling match between Sweden and Canada erupted into cursing and swearing over a "double-touch."

It could be that what we were seeing a few days ago was a bit of staged performance theater designed for comedic effect.

The officials in that sport are useless, albeit through no fault of their own.

Here in Minnesota, we take curling very seriously, of course. A "double touch" is the unforgiveable sin in the sport. Unheard of!

My husband loves to watch curling. As did a good friend of ours (now deceased). The two of them would watch the matches with the same enthusiasm once reserved only for baseball and football.

Why??

I. Have. No. Idea.

But it provided them with a lot of pleasure and laughter. So be it.
