https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/nancy-guthrie-search-update-02-17-26Where things stand
DNA analysis: DNA on gloves found 2 miles from Nancy Guthries Arizona home does not have any matches in the national database known as CODIS, and doesnt match DNA found at Guthries home, either, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos says.
Family not suspects: Nancy Guthries adult children and their spouses are not suspects in her February 1 disappearance from her home, the sheriff said yesterday, calling any suggestion otherwise cruel.
No leading theory: Authorities have said they believe the 84-year-old mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie was removed from the home against her will. But investigators still have no leading theory about a motive, a source said.

Don't they just take the DNA and start matching to genealogical DNA? There have been books written about it and crimes solved ... match some significant part of one, find an ancestor ... once there are 2 matching in 2 generations bingo.

so I missed it. Genealogy analysis is not a quick solution either. Maybe the speed will improve is AI is involved.
