(Alabama) House committee advances bill to ban chemtrails

https://www.alreporter.com/2026/02/16/house-committee-advances-bill-to-ban-chemtrails/

The fatal flooding of Camp Mystic last summer in Texas was not merely tragic happenstance, said multiple speakers at last week’s Alabama House State Government Committee—it was the direct result of chemtrails.

“I have watched the weather, cloud-seeding in Texas and it happened right before Camp Mystic,” said Ted Holley, a frequent speaker on Republican bills. “And yes, it breaks my heart; but yes, that 500-year flood was the result of cloud-seeding in Texas.”

Holley and others were speaking on House Bill 25 by State Representative Mack Butler, R-Rainbow City, which would create a Class B misdemeanor for the injection, release or dispersal of “a chemical, a chemical compound, a substance, or an apparatus into the atmosphere within or above this state for the purpose of affecting the weather, including temperature, climate, and intensity of sunlight.”

Butler told the committee that he had learned about bee populations being affected by Alzheimer’s due to high concentrations of aluminum in bee pupae. Speakers pointed to chemtrails as the source of this aluminum, thus connecting the declining bee population to chemtrails.

While we in TX fight back with our own bill to deny the very existence of both the moon as well as cheese. GOP's circling the drain wearing tin-foil hats while yelling "mercury!!!" as they gurgle closer to the sieve.

These people are crazy and Alabama politicians are humoring them.

Aeropsace engineer here, you wouldn't believe the questions I've taken from educated friends about Chemtrails.

Passenger jets are burning 1 gallon of fuel per second. You've got hot humid exhaust mixing at high altitudes with extremely cold air, that's all it is.

And of course, then the wackos will show airplanes with cargo holds of liquid in them. Yup, airframers regularly test fly aircraft with big tanks of water in them to simulate weight of passengers or cargo and there are pictures of exactly this.

Hey look at that hummingbird!

All the 'pukes do is fucking distract, distract, distract.

AL has good people in it and is beautifully diverse from ecological and geographical perspective... it's too bad the state's leadership ship is and has been shit for 30ish years....

The state could be something special if it decided to focus on something other than football and racism.

Ban all jet aircraft from Alabama airspace. Shut down the airports and stop air transportation into and out of the state. That'll do it, for sure.

Simple, direct, and foolproof!

You want to go to Alabama? Drive there. Of course, who wants to go to Alabama in the first place?

first.

ETA: On second thought, imaginary issues are probably better than the terrible things they would do with real issues, so maybe it's for the best.

Sometimes, I wish the Iowa legislature would work on something...anything that isn't meant to cause harm.

Water vapor that is condensed after it goes through a jet engine and then it hits the cold air.

... does a simple-minded imbecile like Butler even get elected? Is it something in the water? Is stupidity of this magnitude what happens when cousins marry? And Ted Holley sounds like he was dropped on his head as a toddler. Chemtrails? It's water vapor heated by jet engines and condensing in cold air when it's expelled as exhaust, you moron!

I despair for the future of humanity if we continue to allow idiots like this govern us.

And what about fruit growers? They spray their trees too, to keep down the number of critters that attack their trees / fruits too.

Idiots.

Because burning them releases chemicals known to be "affecting the weather, including temperature, climate, and intensity of sunlight.”"
