Trump pushes for Ukraine concessions but non from Russia

Western reporting suggests that the United States has accepted Russia’s demanded sequence of having Ukraine cede territory to Russia before receiving formal US or European security guarantee commitments. Western reporting suggests that the United States will not finalize a security agreement with Ukraine until after Ukraine and Russia reach a peace agreement and that the United States is pushing Ukraine to make concessions in order to conclude a peace agreement by Summer 2026.[1] The Kremlin has continuously attempted to convince the Trump administration that territory is the only significant issue left unresolved in peace negotiations, particularly Russia’s claim to the remainder of Donetsk Oblast and in southern Ukraine, and has attempted to portray Ukraine as the intransigent negotiating party for refusing to cede strategically important territory that Russian forces have been unable to capture through force.

The sequence of agreements that Russia is insisting on and that the United States has reportedly accepted thus entails Ukrainian surrender of critical territory with no assurance of receiving necessary guarantees against future Russian aggression.

Trump wants that Nobel Peace prize and will sell out anyone for it..

I know people from Ukraine and under Stalin people were reduced to starvation. But thats okay with Lord Schitzenpants if the Russians can make a golden statue in his name or offer him a bribe.

I just cannot express my anger at this concession to our long time adversary and the selling out of Ukraine and the implications for Europe.

The EU just approved a €90 billion loan to Ukraine that could fund as early as March and would enable Ukraine to fight for another year at least.

Ukraine doesn’t need the US anymore, and Putin is screwed, since the loan will be paid with seized Russian assets.

I don’t think Putin has enough corpses-in-waiting to send through the meat grinder for another year.
