Well, I am surprised by Katy Tur's coverage of the Bondi hearings and not in a bad way!

And since I do try to be fair and I have done my share of criticizing Ms. Tur, I want to recognize that she
is calling out that Bondi is performing for an audience of one and using her time from R questioners to blame Ds for crime in their districts instead of answering questions.

Now if you don't think that sounds particularly impressive, compare it with CNN which is running some kind of text chain between talking heads on the left side of the screen during the hearings. In the chain, there is a lot of bemoaning of the yelling and insults with a complete lack of acknowledgement that it is Bondi that is causing all of it by not following Senate rules. Typical sanewashing and bother siderism.

For whatever reason, I have noticed that since Tony (her husband) took over as CBS anchor under Bari Weiss, Katy has become more focused and a better journalist.

I don't know about that, it's only a short period of time. But if those two, Katy and Tony, considering the privileged positions they have gotten themselves into in the world, don't know enough to have a very deep assessment of how they solidify and remain where they are in spite of the political ups and downs of their bosses and/or networks, I'd be quite surprised.

I can't stand either one of them, they're insipid and at times vacuous, but they have the creds to do what they do so no one should be surprised if they try to make the most of it.

And I never do since her husband was hired by 60 minutes.

Gotta be lotsa fun in their house these days. 😂
