She fought hard against DeSantis' destruction of New College in Sarasota. They literally took the library of the Gender Studies program she had directed for more than 20 years and threw it all, ALL, in a dumpster. Students begged to be allowed to save some of the books and were told giving away state property was against the law.

Now my sister is at PEN, fighting for academic freedom.
