Hmm. Guess which governor is no longer invited to a bipartisan governors dinner thanks to Mango Mussolini?

Brian Allen
@allenanalysis

Trump disinvited Maryland Gov. Wes Moore from a bipartisan governors’ dinner.

Moore is the only Black governor in America — and the vice chair of the National Governors Association.

Everyone else was welcome.

He wasn’t.

Patterns don’t lie.

Also, the fact that Wes Moore is the only Black governor in America is atrocious in itself!

Edited: the meeting and the dinner are two separate events. Moore is not the only governor excluded from both.

More editing: It is possible that at the time Gov. Moore spoke, he was the only one excluded from the dinner, and that Gov. Polis's exclusion came about or became known later in the day.

Feb 7, 2026: Democratic governors disinvited from traditionally bipartisan White House gatherings

It appears there are two separate events, a meeting and a dinner. No Democratic governor is invited to the meeting. Two Democratic governors (so far) are being excluded from the dinner.

Trump is being his usual jerk self; that's no surprise.

Gov. Moore says he’s been ‘singled out’ by White House, disinvited from events for governors

Pamela Wood

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore says the White House has singled him out by disinviting him from a pair of events for the nation’s governors in Washington next week. ... The National Governors Association will be in town for its annual meeting, which typically involves events with the president. Moore, a Democrat, is vice chair of the bipartisan organization.

President Donald Trump has disinvited all Democratic governors from a White House meeting, and a dinner for governors and their spouses will not include Moore or Democratic Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado, according to reports. ... “As the nation’s only Black governor, I can’t ignore that being singled out for exclusion from this bipartisan tradition carries an added weight — whether that was the intent or not,” Moore said in a statement Sunday morning.

On CNN, host Dana Bash asked Moore why he thought he was disinvited from the events. ... “I have long learned that I’m not trying to get inside of the president’s psyche. It’s not a good use of my time,” Moore said. ... “It’s not lost on me that I’m the only Black governor in this country, and I find that to be particularly painful, considering the fact that the president is trying to exclude me from an organization that not only all my peers have asked me to help to lead, but then also a place where I know I belong.”

Bash pressed Moore on whether he thought he was being excluded due to the color of his skin. ... “Well, I don’t know,” Moore replied. “I can’t speak to the president’s intent. It’s not lost to me, but I can’t speak to the president’s intent.”

"The meeting, part of the National Governors Association winter gathering, will only include Republican governors, according to multiple people familiar with the plans who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss scheduling that was not public.

Mr. Trump is still planning to hold a separate, bipartisan dinner for governors and their spouses at the White House as part of the N.G.A. activities, but he personally blocked invites for two Democrats: Gov. Wes Moore of Maryland and Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado."

Trump snubs 'only Black governor' amid racism scandal — and faces bipartisan blockade

Maryland Governor Wes Moore said on Sunday that he was "snubbed" by Donald Trump, and confirmed that a bipartisan group of governors was behind him.

Moore over the weekend took to social media to explain how he had been left out of an event, even after going to the White House for a successful meeting.

"This week, I learned that I was uninvited to this year’s National Governors Association dinner — a decades-long annual tradition meant to bring governors from both parties together to build bonds and celebrate a shared service to our citizens with the President of the United States. My peers, both Democrats and Republicans, selected me to serve as the Vice Chair of the NGA, another reason why it’s hard not to see this decision as another example of blatant disrespect and a snub to the spirit of bipartisan federal-state partnership," the governor wrote. "As the nation’s only Black governor, I can’t ignore that being singled out for exclusion from this bipartisan tradition carries an added weight — whether that was the intent or not."

He continued:

"What makes it especially confounding is that just weeks ago I was at the White House with a bipartisan group of governors, working with the administration on reforms to lower energy costs and strengthen grid reliability. We proved in that moment what’s possible when we stay focused on outcomes over politics. As Governor of Maryland and Vice Chair of the NGA, my approach will never change: I’m ready to work with the administration anywhere we can deliver results. Yet, I promised the people of my state I will work with anybody but will bow down to nobody. And I guess the President doesn’t like that."

Moore also went on cable news earlier in the day, where he confirmed the NGA had decided that it would not be a NGA-sponsored event if any of its members are left out.
