Ron Filipkowski points out what Rs SHOULD learn from the racist Obama post

He points out on bluesky that the administration did not delete the racist post or blame the staffer because they realized it was wrong, racist and offensive.

No, they did so because R politicians posted about it and called it racist.

As Filipkowski points out, there is a lesson to be learned here if only the Republicans will learn it.

Republicans should learn from this incident. Learn what? To cover up the way that they really feel?
No, let them advertise exactly how they feel, what their beliefs are, as openly as possible.
I think that a big part of why we are in the mess that we are in is because a lot of voters really have no idea who the Republicans really are.
And I'm not just talking about reich-wing voters. I'm talking about voters "in the middle" as well as Democratic voters in denial.

about all kinds of topics. He will listen to them as this incident shows. They SHOULD learn from their success this time at calling him out that they can do so on other issues as well. They almost certainly won't, though, which shows that they really are aligned with him and have no real desire to change his behavior.

and the rest are perfectly fine with it as long as they can clutch his coattails and remain in power. Only if Trump's approval truly plummets will they suddenly declare they aren't OK with it (though they really are).
