I see nothing wrong with encouraging Dems to be tougher

We should use our voices to make our needs/expectations known. Polling shows the public agrees with us. I think it's a red herring to say that because some voters at some time refused to vote for Dems for some reason we have to stay silent.

We are Democrats, not Republican cultists. We're smart and able to walk and chew gum at the same time. We can make our demands known forcefully, but when the time comes vote for the best candidate. At least, I know I can.

you violate DU rules. Keep it 'generic' as advice and guidance you will gain allies.

although I realize that these things can be subjective to a certain extent. At least I always try to be constructive and stay away from name calling, which is just stupid and trumpesque.

But there are ways of expressing yourself forcefully that do not involve ridicule, name calling, or other childish tactics that aren't effective anyway. Personally, I'm not a fan of making fun of Dem leadership and calling them weak, for example. I think that just feeds in the RW narrative.
