Just wondering because of this:
Paul Weiss Chairman Brad Karp resigns after Jeffrey Epstein email disclosures
Brad Karp, chairman of the major corporate law firm Paul Weiss, resigned that post on Wednesday after fallout over emails between him and notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were made public.
Karp last March signed off on a controversial agreement to provide $40 million worth of legal work, at no charge, for causes supported by President Donald Trump. The president, in turn, rescinded an executive order he previously issued targeting the firm.

Would that not show a correlation between who TFG is targeting because he knows who he can blackmail?

(58,871 posts)1. That was my question too. But I looked into what is being published about
Karp and his interactions with Epstein, and it doesn't (so far) seem like something that would warrant his quitting. It was both attending some dinners, about Karp trying to get his son a role in a Woody Allen movie, and about Paul Weiss being in an adversarial position against Epstein in court.
I assume there is more to be found and, in a "come to Jesus" moment with Karp, the firm has been told about it.

He's hoping to not be highlighted in the next tranche of files if he toddles off into his rich retirement now.

The Epstein/Trump/Putin blackmail operation explains a lot of knee-bending.
