https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/feb/03/met-police-to-launch-investigation-into-alleged-mandelson-epstein-email-leaksThe Metropolitan police are to formally launch a criminal investigation into allegations that Peter Mandelson leaked Downing Street emails and market sensitive information to the child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the Guardian understands.
Documents from the Epstein files released in recent days appeared to show the then business secretary sent confidential information in a string of emails to the late financier in the aftermath of the financial crash.
They prompted a furious response from across the political spectrum, including Gordon Brown, who was the prime minister at the time of the alleged breaches. MPs reported Mandelson to Scotland Yard for misconduct in public office.
Keir Starmer, who has handed a dossier to the police, told a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday morning he was appalled by the reported leaks. He has asked officials to draft legislation to strip Mandelson of his peerage as quickly as possible.

(23,843 posts)It appears things are shifting. Not as many bots pushing back against posts with Trump/Epstein in them. Some GOPers starting to talk about Trump/Epstein. Some of the allegations starting to become widely discussed.

Btw if Britains MI-5 wants to interrogate Musk on some remote Island off of the north of

On a brisk Monday evening in May 2010, Gordon Brown stood on the steps of Downing Street and delivered one of the most dramatic announcements of the New Labour era: his resignation as UK prime minister.
The decision came days after a nail-biting general election that left no single party with a clear run at No 10. Brown kept his decision, which followed days of political wrangling, to a tight inner circle. Nick Clegg, who would go on to serve as deputy prime minister of the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition, was formally told of Browns resignation only 10 minutes before the announcement.
But across the pond, a man named Jeffrey Epstein, a well-connected financier and convicted child sex offender, had been briefed hours before. Finally got him to go today an email believed to be sent by Peter Mandelson informed Epstein on Monday morning.

Having said that, it's still early.

Putin and Bibi were the main reasons that Krasnov was elected. Once Krasnov became president, Putin and Bibi had copies of the Epstein files. A weak man like Krasnov will do anything to keep it secret that he raped little girls.

Thanks for the discussion, malaise. ❤️

(7,584 posts)watching other countries deal with this (and their own bad politicians) and here we are... suppose to be the "mentor" of democracy, and we can't get a damned adjudicated criminal out of public office. In fact, we're not only letting that slide, we let him steal straight from our retirement accounts without saying a word. So much for being the "mentor"...

(11,915 posts)Is that it appears that Epstein and his inner circle tried to keep eLoon at arm's length.
eLoon gives off nark vibes which is why I think Epstein kept pushing him off for island visits.
I think eLoon is tolerated but I don't think he is part of that click like others.
He is the weakest link we have and that is not good for his fellow billionaires.
He absolutely knows who is on the inside and what they were doing and will happily sell them out to save his own ass. He gets to play "hero" by bringing down a worldwide billionaire pedo ring. The only thing this guy loves more than money is positive reinforcement, for people to like him or fear him. He is a drug- addled narcissist looking for love and never finding enough. It's why he sees relationships as transactional and both loves and hates himself in equal measure.
Eventually, he will tell all to whoever will listen. He already started to tell on Mango Mussolini when he got tired of him and started pushing him away. Then bang he is back in the inner circle and eLoon shut up about all that stuff he started to say.

(7,584 posts)no matter how much money either may have, no one... rich, famous, or poor... wants either of them to be part of their "circle." trump tried for decades to break into high society. Oh sure, he pushed his way in... but the society circles he so dearly desired never accepted him. The same with Musk. These people who are so demented or just uncivilized can't imagine that their money won't buy them everything they desire. But some things transcend money -- even with the rich, it seems.
