Meta Is Blocking Links To ICE List on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads

Meta has started blocking its users from sharing links to ICE List, a website that has compiled the names of what it claims are Department of Homeland Security employees, a project the creators say is designed to hold those employees accountable.

Dominick Skinner, the creator of ICE List, tells WIRED that links to the website have been shared without issue on Meta’s platforms for more than six months.

to our 30s, 40s, or 50s before we became dependent on things like Amazon, Facebook, X, etc.

But life without them is just too hard for some to imagine.

(I say this, but I must make a true confession. I had weaned myself completely off Amazon for a couple of years, then my union switched healthcare plans and now I have to have Amazon as my prescription service. It bugs me no end.)

But yeah, I quit Amazon, all the social media, etc.

I don't miss it. Yes, I'm living a slightly different life now, but I feel better about myself.

And, to be honest, I've rediscovered the joy of actual snail mail correspondence.

but still. It's like begging to be hit in the face with a 2x4.

Next for me is trying to go back to cash as much as possible.

A lot of (younger) people network and get all their info from these sites. Censorship of them has a marked effect.

I feel bad for them, but they better wise up quick or they will end up as cannon fodder in the oligarchs' wars.
