I just watched the documentary "Cover-up" about the journalist Seymour Hersch

And it recounted the numerous stories that Hersh covered, including the horrors like My Lai and Abu Graib that were commited by U.S. armed forces in our name, and excused by government officials. Then I got to thinking: Anybody who says that what the thugs ICE have done in Minnesota is an anomaly, need only look back at our history. The only difference is that it's on U.S. soil and some of the targets are American.

it's never been this bad - climate change, energy crises, authoritarianism, economic collapse, blah, blah, blah.

She said, "It's always been this bad, sometimes worse. You're too young to remember Vietnam. We were fighting in the streets."

This Minnesota thing only seems new to white liberals because they’ve never had to experience what minority groups have been dealing with for hundreds of years.

Nobody is ever held accountable, save a few lower level perpetrators. We don’t seem to learn that accountability is vital to showing the thugs at all levels that they’ll face justice.
