Just my opinion, but I don't think that a stable genius would behave this way.

If we retake the House, he will be impeached again on 02January2027. He will also see special prosecutor Jack Smith reinstalled and given a mandate to bring the charges he already has from grand juries on the documents and January 6th incidents. There will be additional charges for the tariffs, for the ICE raids, for the DOGE BS, for the selective prosecutions of "enemies".

If the House goes as expected, and the Senate flips as well, Trump will resign immediately after the signature on his pardon from JD Vance is finished. He may very well also flee the country to avoid potential war crimes and murder charges rolling up to his orders to kill people in boat attacks.

We might only be 13 months away from the beginning of the end of this period of national shame.... or maybe the son of a bitch will just die today, there's still several good hours left for that...

Peter Theil's puppet won't be any better once we impeach/convict Trump.

There may be an effort to adopt articles of impeachment but it won't happen on January 2, 2o27 (or even on January 3, 2027, which is the actual date on which a new Congress is sworn in). There will articles introduced, there will be a referral to committee and there will be, eventually, a vote, but not overnight.

Moreover, Congress can't install Smith, or anyone else, as special prosecutor. That power belongs to the Attorney General and obviously Bondi isn't going to appoint Smith or anyone else to investigate or prosecute Trump or anyone else in the cabinet. And to the extent Congress could pass legislation somehow creating a new version of a special prosecutor, that's unlikely as well unless the filibuster is gotten rid of and it won't be gotten rid of for that purpose.

Finally, Trump isn't going to resign if the Senate and House flip. And JD Vance can't issue a pardon while Trump is still president.

It'll be like the Abraham Simpson Presidency.

Once he is unplugged from the crowds and public speaking and confined to an incontinent wheel chair existence, he won't last long. I will be surprised if he is still wasting oxygen by 2028. J.D. Vance will be using Theil's $$$ and influence in the next campaign, and luckily he is even less likable than Trump.
