That Project 2025 guy Trump didn't know & never heard of is going to gut the National Center for Atmospheric Research

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-vought-2674408032/

A Trump official has planned to gut the National Center for Atmospheric Research — the group behind fires and floods research — in the next move to dismantle federally-funded climate research.

Russ Vought, director of the United States Office of Management and Budget, announced Tuesday night that the National Science Foundation would break up the agency, Politico reported.

“This facility is one of the largest sources of climate alarmism in the country,” Vought wrote on X, claiming that research activities would be moved to other agencies.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis responded to the move, warning that the decision reveals “science is being attacked.”

Trump has delegated the running of the government to people like Vought and Miller, who are freely imposing their own vengeful policies on the American public. Trump is disinterested in the effect of those policies and how they hurt people. He is the most clueless person ever to occupy the Oval Office and literally sleeps through most meetings, probably falling asleep after his sycophantic administrators end their North Korea style mandatory praise of his genius and overall wonderfulness because he has no interest in anything else.

“Ask Donald Trump about the goings on of his administration, and there is a good chance he’ll defer to a deputy rather than answer the question. “I don’t know her,” he said when asked about his nominee for surgeon general, Casey Means, earlier this year. “I listened to the recommendation of Bobby,” he said, pointing to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the secretary of health and human services.

Ask Trump for insight into why his administration made a choice or to explain a particular decision, and he’ll be at a loss for words. Ask him to comment on a scandal? He’ll plead ignorance. “I know nothing about it,” Trump said last week, when asked about the latest tranche of photographs released from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein.

None of this on its own means the president isn’t working or paying attention to the duties of his office. But consider the rest of the evidence. He is by most accounts isolated from the outside world. He does not travel the country and rarely meets with ordinary Americans outside the White House. He is shuttled from one Trump resort to another to play golf and hold court with donors, supporters and hangers-on.”

Calling my rep office today. I am trying to embed a bluesky post but it does not show up for some reason. Look at Dr. Daniel Swain, Weather West, or Dr. Kate Marvel, for the threads.

Another massive atmospheric river is headed straight towards me here in Oregon. This should stop it in its tracks! Take that Mother Nature!

VOTER IGNORANCE AND APATHY.

I have no idea which form of behavior is more prevalent. I don't know if there's any way to measure it.

I've known people who weren't that bright...didn't know, didn't want to know, didn't care about knowing.

Those are the people who put Trump back in office.

The ones who REALLY WANTED HIM and COULDN'T WAIT to re-elect him.

The ones who weren't too bright and didn't know much beyond what their cable news show of choice TOLD them. And what they were TOLD is that Trump did a great job with the economy in his first term, so what the hell, sounds good to me, I'm voting for Trump.

Then there was that third group, the one that just didn't care, so they didn't vote.

Ignorance and Apathy.

ON ONE HAND, it is very encouraging to come here, to DU, and have conversations with people who know how this all fits together.

ON THE OTHER HAND, it's pretty depressing to step outside of these conversations and realize how many Americans just don't know and/or just don't care. Oh, they'll complain about food prices. Some of them will blame Biden because Trump told them to. Others will complain about no longer being able to afford healthcare because their monthly premium doubled or tripled because Republicans blocked the ACA subsidies renewal. Of course, they won't blame Republicans. They'll blame...

...and anyone who is "predicting" a "blue tsunami" in the midterms is kidding themselves. WE COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE A "BLUE WAVE" IF WE WORK OUR ASSES OFF FOR IT. But to make the assumption that the average voter is going to connect the dots and understand the true source of their pain is delusional thinking.

AMERICA'S NOT THAT SMART. Trump, in the Oval Office, is PROOF of that.

releasing Tina Peters. He is trying to erase EVERY last doubt that he lost that election and will spend the rest of his life trying to prove it. History will not be kind to this bunch but unfortunately it is us that have to live thru and endure this. My wife told me last night that she read that some of these idiots want to storm the prison and bust her out by force. Good luck with that boys.
