Manhunt for Brown University shooter continues: FBI releases photos of suspect, announces $50K reward

The search for a gunman who opened fire at Brown University on Saturday, killing two students and injuring nine others, continued on Tuesday.

The Providence Police Department in Rhode Island released enhanced video of a “person of interest” on Tuesday and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person dressed in dark clothing and wearing a black mask and hat.

During a news conference on Tuesday evening, Chief of Police Oscar Perez Jr. said the videos show the individual “casing the area” in a residential neighborhood near Brown University just hours before the shooting took place on Saturday.

“That’s what criminals do prior to committing a crime,” Perez said. He advised the public to pay attention to any body movements, gait or posture of the person in the video.
