If I didn't know better

I’d swear that Gov. Newsom has a plan B to lead a secessionist effort to establish a new country comprising of CA, OR and WA. This thought was triggered on the Governor’s office announcing the establishment of a California CDC and hiring two former senior members from the national center. The fact that such a move would immediately establish the new country as the seventh largest economy in the world just makes me go, “hmmmm.”

Hiring qualified but otherwise disgruntled Federal healthcare experts demonstrates a willingness to shore up his statewide healthcare initiative and ideally create a model that can become a standard for other states.

How this turns into a discussion of secession is rather bizarre.
