Comment of 2025: "In one year Donald Trump has absolutely torched this country."

US lost 105,000 jobs in October and added 64,000 in November, according to delayed data

This is all before healthcare subsidies are cancelled. Things are about to become beyond disastrous. In one year Donald Trump has absolutely torched this country.

It seems to me it's a lot more like a Chernobyl or Three Mile Island disaster, with plenty of immediate damage but more importantly, toxicity that lingers for decades and costs gazillions too treat, if it is even possible.

It took years for a public inquiry into Litvinenko’s murder to be completed, but the man himself offered clues about potential culprit on his death bed. /i]

Having spent the money on things that neither stimulate the economy or provide future economic growth, we are Hated throughout the world, losing the programs needed to hold up the poorest among us, deporting the labor class, may actually have a population decline because influx of immigrants is near zero . . .

It is hard to know what has improved besides billionaires bank accounts.

He seeks to destroy this nation entirely. And the MAGAt traitors stupidly (in the majority case, or selfishly in the minority case -- in the manner of carrion scavengers) enable him at every turn.

Whether he is merely a malignant narcissist sniffing his own mortality and enraged by it or instead a knowing puppet of a hostile foreign power in possession of videos of him sexually assaulting minors is largely immaterial in the face of the fact that HE IS DOING IT and tens of millions of Americans have been helping him.

America will soon be unrecognizable at this rate.

If the 2026 elections go well, there must be a concerted effort to put up as many legal hurdles as possible to thwart the rest of Project 2025. Every plan in it must be met with multiple lawsuits and a media blitz exposing them and their undemocratic agenda. And all those running for future elections must voice easily understood talking points against the most harmful parts of it.

What was the Red Menace of the Cold War? That a pack of radicals would take power, upend our institutions and way of life, take away our freedoms, diminish us in every way, and treat dissent like it was treason.

They're everything the Commie Boogeyman was supposed to be, without being commies (unless you count "socialism for the rich&quot .

-- unilaterally declared war on drug cartels,
-- imposed tariffs,
-- sealed the southern border,
-- achieved a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza, and
-- pressured NATO allies into increasing their defense spending.

But the 22 million who pay more or give up healthcare insurance entirely won't remember that stuff in 2026. And those who do will likely be too sick and disheartened to vote.

tool of trade war with former trade partners and allies. We're Democrats. Of course we don't think their successes are what they think they are. But their base believe their spin. The main thing WE know is they stole Americans' money in the trillions and handed that over to their oligarch owners.
