(1,501 posts)The country should be bigger than the game...
It's BS to pass it off as an opportunity to play with a president.

(9,012 posts)Add Bryson DeChambeau to the list of golfers who blindly heap praise upon President Trump.
During a White House Christmas event this weekend, the golf star called Trump an amazing human being and praised his economy as the greatest weve ever had, even as polls show widespread public dissatisfaction with the nations economic conditions.
I gotta tell you, what everybodys doing here is incredible for the country, and I got to thank the President of the United States. He is such an amazing human being, Dechambeau said in a clip shared on X/Twitter. More importantly, as Ive gotten to know him over the past decade now ... what hes done not just for our country, but just for every single person that he goes and interacts with is absolutely incredible.
I cant tell you how many times Ive been around him and him just... look over to a kid and be like, How are you doing? Youre doing so great, love you. Keep going forward, keep growing in life. Its unbelievable what he does for families and for kids, and for that I say thank you and Merry Christmas to you guys.
I am literally physically sick after reading that.

(54 posts)He doesn't do anything other than some promotional appearances for the company now, his body checked out in terms of being able to do a match years ago (having guys throw you off 2 story steel cages through announce tables will do that to you).
A lot of wrestlers have right wing tendencies but you have some exceptions... Foley, Batista, CM Punk, a few others.

(1,386 posts)He's been retired for 20 years. When he considered quitting over another wrestler being controversially fired (Bret Hart), Foley detailed in his first book how much his financial situation played a role in him not quitting.
Not saying it's not a good thing, but he's not giving much up.
