Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles is scrambling to contain the fallout from her bombshell tell-all interviews with Vanity

Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles is scrambling to contain the fallout from her bombshell tell-all interviews with Vanity Fair

Phil Lewis (@phillewis.bsky.social) 2025-12-16T15:43:38.382Z

This accomplished-more-than-any-other-president thing is a psychosis for Trump and his minions. It's such a big lie it's a wonder they don't burst into flames or burst out laughing when they say it.

David Corn (@davidcorn.bsky.social) 2025-12-16T15:46:17.121Z

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles posted on X for the first time in more than a year to slam Vanity Fair for what she called a "disingenuously framed hit piece" that was based on a series of regular interviews and conversations she had with reporter Chris Wipple over the course of a year.

The piece, which is a story Vanity Fair published in two parts on Tuesday, didn't just include candid comments from Wiles; other Trump administration officials spoke to Wipple, and several high-level members of Trump's team posed for a series of portraits to accompany the story.

"Significant context was disregarded and much of what I, and others, said about the team and the President was left out of the story," Wiles said in her post. "I assume, after reading it, that this was done to paint an overwhelmingly chaotic and negative narrative about the President and our team."

I listen to old episodes of CBS Radio Mystery Theater as I drift off to sleep at night complete with olds ads. Some of them feature "Pat Summerall here..." My nights won't be the same.

I found a report by The Hill that linked to a paywall-free version via Apple News. (Sorry, don’t have a link)

Wiles is correct- the “bombshell” quotes are being taken largely out of context, and the interview shows her to be, for the most part, a loyal and fawning Trump servant.

There is not a single good thing that has been accomplished, but he has accomplished an unbelievably incredible amount of bad. Trump has arguably done as many bad things in 11 months as any 10 Presidents have done in their entire terms combined.

I just read the whole Vanity Fair piece, and the “bombshell” quotes are largely taken out of context of what was, for the most part, an interview that portrayed Wiles as loyal and fawning over Trump.

It’s the reporting by The Hill and other secondary outlets that are spinning this into clickbait sensationalism, perhaps spurred on my some in Miller’s camp who would like to see Wiles fired so Pee Wee German can get promoted to her COS job.

Vanity Fair and their journalist, to make it appear both Vanity Fair and the journalist were extreme leftists who write articles that are all lies and propaganda about Trump........

She is obviously a very intelligent woman. Check out her accomplishments for the past few decades....

My thinking is that it was a giant sting operation, just like they did on Acorn? years ago....

Just one of the countless many, working in the shadows, behind smoke and mirrors, in this CABAL of NEW Republicans......

I guess we will just have to wait and see.........If I am correct, she keeps her job as Chief of Staff, if not, she gets thrown under the bus which is classical Trump......
