Calls Trump "an alcoholic personality," Vance a "conspiracy theorist" and opportunist, Musk a ketamine addict and "odd duck" and Vought a "right wing zealot."
I'm not all that surprised, to be honest.
While I wouldn't by any means call Wiles a good person, she always struck me as more of a Trump 45 character than a Trump 47 character. That is, more of a pragmatic, seasoned long-time political operative tasked with being a guardrail to Trump's worst impulses as opposed to the true loyalists that dominate the White House in this second term.
Whatever way you cut it, she'll be gone within a week, if not sooner.

(1,537 posts)She is now saying everything was made up by the Zealous Far Left Wing Journalist, and in turn, used the situation to lump on massive praise for Trump and this new group of Republicans.......

(17,679 posts)and if she didn't mean it, then why, knowing damn well that Vanity Fair is going to publish it, give the interview at all?
Her denials are falling flat and she's nothing more than a lying sycophant trying to save her job.
So, your Gov. is refusing to relinquish control over Tina Peters to the Feds?
Good for him, he's giving the DoJ and Flim Flam Man the one finger salute.

I wish I was a believer. I could sleep at night certain that a wrathful God was going to call this over-ripe pumpkin of a man to account. As it is, without an angry godhead, it's a good guess that Trump will leave this mortal coil with a smile on his face after activating the nuclear football to blow us all to nothingness.

(1,537 posts)do you remember the sucker punch, hit job they did on ACORN? I guess we will wait and see. Check out her recent decades of work, She is no slouch and obviously a brilliant woman. If she stays as Chief of Staff we will know if I am correct......
Yea, Polis stood up on this one, although through out his first term he acted like a pro-corporate DINO, and now that the is a lame duck in his second term. He is really really acting like a DINO......very pro corporations.......
I have to say, that I wouldn't want to be the Governor in Colorado, or the Mayor in Denver, with all the targeting of Trump on Blue States......The Republicans withholding all kinds of established money has raised havoc with Colorado's and Denver's Budgets.
Gov Abbott in Texas helped out by dumping TEN OF THOUSANDS of immigrants from Texas on the streets of Denver in November and December of last year.......

(17,407 posts)I suspect this was a calculated move and Wiles wants to be fired. Susie knows Trump is sinking fast and she doesn't want to go down with the ship. If she stays her future in Republican party politics will be over.

I think it was a masterpiece hit job, meant to sucker punch a Journalist and his magazine.......
I can't picture her, with her history, and as Chief of Staff, actually saying all those things unless it was to make a left wing article's author look like a complete liar and fool......He apparently took the bait......
Check out her background over the past decades...............

Fasten your seatbelts.
EDIT:
I just read the whole Vanity Fair piece, and the clickbait quotes are largely taken out of context, and are a minuscule portion of an interview that is otherwise loyal and fawning over Trump.
I dont think Wiles is going anywhere.

Oh, good Lord, Wiles said. Trump doesnt depend on anybody.

(1,325 posts)The harsh quotes that Vanity Fair picked to highlight the article are couched by softer words that excuse, justify, and support what this administration is doing. She even supports what RFK Jr. (who she refers to fondly as "my Bobby" ) is doing. The only one that she really seems to distain is Musk. She praises and supports almost everything that has taken place since the election. For example:
"For Trump, Wiles has helped pick a Cabinet of MAGA hard-liners: Pete Hegseth, secretary of war (formerly defense); Kash Patel, FBI director; John Ratcliffe, CIA director; Pam Bondi, attorney general; Tulsi Gabbard, director of national intelligence; and Kristi Noem, head of Homeland Security. Wiles calls them a world-class Cabinet, better than anything I could have conceived of. Trumps Cabinet members are either one of the least qualified presidential teams in history or, to hear Wiles tell it, disruptersthe only people with the balls to take on an entrenched deep state."
She says that he is not falling asleep during meetingjust closing his eyes, justifies his attacks to women reporters because they are the main ones questioning him, she says the boat strikes are warranted, etc, etc. She praises, Vance, Rubio, and most of the others. I was initially hopeful when I read the headlines that she was going to show some reason, but after reading everything, I'd be very surprised if she got fired, quit, or even got much backlash for these interviews. I guess we'll see...

(5,442 posts)If she intended this as some Uno reverse to psyche out the left-wing journo as others have suggested, I don't think it worked very well. Occam's Razor suggests she has had enough of the crapshow to which she has been a witness and decided to talk about it, probably as a means of preserving her reputation or soothing her conscience. I also don't buy the idea that she of all people would fail to understand that the main impact of the interviews would be explosive negative excerpts and sound bites.

Trump must think it will do significant harm to him to make him want to give a rambling speech that further damages his reputation.
