Leqembi (lecanemab) is an FDA-approved IV treatment for early Alzheimers disease that modestly slows cognitive decline, but does not cure or reverse the disease.
Once treatment starts, doctors closely monitor patients through bi-weekly infusions, scheduled brain MRIs, and continuous symptom tracking, especially during the first 3 months when risks are highest.
MRI surveillance focuses on detecting ARIAbrain swelling or small bleedswhich can require pausing or stopping treatment.
Cognitive testing tracks the rate of decline, not improvement. Most critical safety signals come from caregiver observations between visits.
In practice, Leqembi is less about the infusion itself and more about ongoing imaging, vigilance, and risk management.

The pieces are there as described above. Just listen to the newscaster. They use these descriptive terms.
It shouldn't take a genius to understand what is happening, AND the current administration is lying about what they know.
Shaking hands is a lie. Hiding his right hand with his left hand or under the desk is a recurring fact.

(2,117 posts)1. MRIs are required before the fist infusion,
then before the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 14th infusion.
The only reason we know there was any MRI is because Trump said so. By now, he has probably had the initial one and at least the first 2 monitoring MRIs.
