Virginia has a 3 gun rule again from what I can find.


The gunshotos in Smithfield were the main source from what I understand. Amtrak put in a stop at the James River Bridge in Newport News. Taxis (pre Uber) would line up knowing when the train was coming by. Take people over to the gun shops and back to pick up the the train going back north. DC Philly NYC Boston Guns were from Virginia. Bags of guns before there was a 3 gun rule but now.... you just take more people.

So you take 4 people down in a car or via train.

Private sales are susceptible to background checks but the guns aren’t registered so…

Any gun purchased from another state or online has to be transferred through a licensed FFL. You can't even cross a state line to buy from a private seller. The penalty is up to 15 years in prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine. It goes up to 25 years if the gun is used in a crime. No FFL with a gun shop will risk that.

Every firearms case starts with an illegal purchase somewhere down the line.
And yet nothing happens to the illegal purchasers.

But, your point was that Hawaii has the *lowest* gun crime rate, which it does not, because guns can't be driven across State lines by vehicle in to Hawaii. The statistics prove your claim to be untrue. Do you understand what I'm saying?

They can allow a felon to become a candidate for president or to become a felon President, deny women the right to do with their own body as they please, strike, increase or lessen voting eligibility for non whites, allow a president immunity supposedly only on Executive Orders that are OFFICIAL, fast track preferred cases, overturn decisions that have stood for years, allow decisions favorable to businesses but not the people, base decisions on laws from 16th century English Rules, claim that corporations are people, allow a president to kidnap and deport people without due process (that pesky Constitution thingy) to countries that have no problem torturing or killing deportees, ok bribes to officials, yet find inviolable, unchallengeable and even sacred one amendment that is quite clear in its 200 plus years of existence.

According to this TV Court, there should only be one old Amendment - Number two.
And no new ones, just partisan rulings at their whim based on personal bias.

Be a dame shame if that Amendment came back to haunt a President, Congress person, Corporate Entity (like a Health care CEO?) or even a Supreme Court Justice or a member of their family. Be a shame that could have been prevented.

A great deal of people like the idea that they can own a gun. There is the hunting aspect--the hunting seasons in Michigan are a big deal. And so is the idea that people feel like they are safer owning a gun. Even though most people who own guns for personal protection are not physically or mentally prepared to use a gun in self defense. The mass shootings just make this group double down on their feelings that they are better off with a gun. They have these day-dreams of grandeur where they swoop in with their gun and save hundreds of people by taking out a crazed shooter. I'm not kidding.

I'm pretty certain we've lost the issue for now. I'm almost 56 and don't own a gun. I know plenty of people who own and carry guns. And I've considered getting one, mostly because I live among a number of Trump loving rednecks. But having a gun would be one more thing to deal with. I'm at a point in my life where I want less things to deal with. Also, the Trump loving rednecks are mostly loud mouthed cowards (just like Trump).
