A Syrian Interior Ministry spokesperson said Syrian forces had issued intelligence warnings to US-led forces and that the assailant was known to authorities ahead of the deadly attack.
Nour Eddin al-Baba told Syrian state television that leadership in the countrys Internal Security Forces in the Badia region had alerted the US-led international coalition against ISIS in Syria about preliminary information indicating a possible breach or expected ISIS attacks.
However, (coalition) forces did not take the Syrian warnings into account, al-Baba said.
He said the attack happened as leaders from the coalition and Syrias Internal Security Forces carried out a joint tour earlier Saturday in the Badia region. The delegation later entered a fortified command facility belonging to the Syrian Internal Security Forces leadership, where the assailant opened fire at the gate.

I seem to recall someone blaming Secretary Clinton for an incident a few years back. Something about ignoring clear security threats... but well... not remotely a similar situation now is it? This was in a hostile area of Syria and there were credible threats offered by the Syrian Government. There was no way to avoid this. Clearly the new master of the Department of War or even the secretary of state... whoever that is... someone was told and someone ignored that and now 3 Americans have been killed and 3 wounded.
Pete Hergsleth has vowed holy vengeance and promised to kill everyone immediately so we're good. No worries about security overseas any longer. Whew!!!
Word of suggestion, if you're relying on a protection detail that is guaranteed by this current gov... you may want to spend a bit extra for some additional forces. It's sad when I'm recommending to U.S. soldiers to hire outside contractors to ensure they have the best protection but an outside contractor wouldn't have ignored the warning from the government in the country where they were operating.

And Trumpie was right on board with their efforts, of COURSE.
I'm sure we'll see the GQP step up to the plate and show everyone they're consistent in their principles!

But still... they were told in advance and the haphazard approach to everything they do is coming back to bite real people in the ass. Consequences suck.

The fact that a warning was potentially ignored is def. worthy of investigation

It's surprising it didn't go as well as you would think...
It's almost like the War in Afganistan the the left wing instigated along with the Iraq war was a complete shitshow...
Wait... We were in charge after 9/11 right?
I forget so much history... it's a shame we can't just rewrite it.
