Senator Kelly just made a fool of Tuberville!

(59,635 posts)Every incoming member of the House and the Senate, plus any incoming President and Vice-President, MUST take the same citizenship test given to new immigrants prior to being granted their status as new U.S. citizens. New elections must be held for any position where the prospective office holder is unable to pass the test, and anyone failing the test cannot run immediately in the new election, but must sit at least one term out.
Yeah, Alabama can still send Jeff Sessions to the Senate, but Tuberville would have to go back to being the shame of some high schools athletic department. For that matter, Republican House and Senate leaders might find their status as majority leaders in serious peril.
