I did it.

Turned OFF the automatic update function on my 8yr old iPhone and iPad.

Apple is now pushing some kind of update that promises a “whole new experience.”

Over the years I’ve had all I can stand of “whole new experiences, “ the last one being upgrading my computer to Win11. Fortunately I can turn off the MS CoPilot.

50 years ago a whole new experience was appreciated. I’ll opt out today.

My iPhone has been declared obsolete by Apple. I guess I won’t be getting anymore updates promising a “whole new experience”.

Some things look a bit different and it seems to be faster. The camera app has a few new bells and whistles but I'm still as homely as ever so it wasn't any help there. A new Preview app appeared that might be useful. Otherwise I wouldn't call it life-changing but it's OK.
