gone up by 14%....um, I don't know about the rest of you, but it has doubled in price for even ground beef.

A roast or a steak has gone up much more. Even chicken has nearly doubled in price.

And coffee...my beloved coffee has gone up SO much.

And yes, I am aware that beans exist. No I don't want to go vegan. I am also aware of tofu.

Coffee plants don't grow well in North Carolina. Nor do bananas, citrus, and many other foods.

City ordinances prevent me from raising beef cattle in my backyard.

I tried to grow my own wheat but you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to till the sod if you don't have a horse, and plows don't fit inside my gate.

the economy goes all the way to hell. We have an area where we could plant things. I hate gardening and will only do it if it is absolutely necessary.

I think it is the hours and hours of weeding I did during childhood. "Stay with Grandma" they said, it'll be fun, they said....and it was, except for the daily garden weeding!
