There is no denying that we are in the midst of a civil war and it's one-sided. ICE enforcement is occurring in predominantly left-leaning areas. The data is damning. In Republican-leaning states, 59% of ICE arrests occur in prisons and jails (through 287g agreements from the law enforcement agency and ICE). In Democratic-leaning states, ICE is more likely to arrest immigrants from the community, with 70% of arrests taking place at worksites, streets, and during mass roundups.
We know that undocumented immigrants are in nearly every corner of our country. The farms, the meat packing plants, and so many small and large businesses. Both right-leaning and left-leaning communities depend on this critical labor in numerous industries. But, where is ICE focusing their raids and investigations? 🤔 The insidious intent of this administration is to economically devastate the opposition through indiscriminate means. The ICE raids and investigations could be done all over our nation and entire industries would die. But, the focus is on the left-leaning areas because the intent is to destroy our economic base and community resolve.
Can this be overcome? I'm not sure it can be. We have to hope enough Trump voting business owners feel the pain and have to face the reckoning.
