FIFA corruption knows no bounds.

First, it allowed Trump to co-opt and keep the World Cup trophy that belonged to Chelsea.

Then last week, a hastily manufactured Peace Prize to Trump.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some referees make controversial calls that would elevate the U.S. team to the semis, then the finals, and World Cup.

Seriously, bribes for awarding locations are so commonplace that even Spiro agnew's ghost thinks they are excessive.

They have absolute complete control taking bribes to award games and tournaments. These awards also require massive amounts of building and debt. These US/Mexico/Canada have been able to avoid NEW building because we already have a corrupt public financed stadium situation.

As you probably know, FIFA also controls all imaging of soccer matches ALL matches. There is one and only one video of an event. There is no other record.

He just loves the profit and spectacle.

And the referees are not Infantino toadies - they'd be only too happy to expose him as corrupt. They'd be permanent heroes to most football supporters if they did.

It looks like there's a good chance USA will face England (if they both win their groups, which seems likely, and both win their round of 32 matches, against 3rd place teams from other groups - again, seems likely) in the round of 16, in Mexico City. Form would favour England in that.

at Fifa's headquarters, as is the custom with all Fifa trophies - including the World Cup.

One replica belongs to Chelsea and the holders paraded it during a pre-season friendly against AC Milan.

It is the third version that lives in the Oval Office in "recognition of the 2025 tournament's exceptional hosts", Fifa told BBC Sport.
