I'm not going to get mired in 12 months' worth of how Trump and the SCOTUS will "flip the 2026 midterms."

Here's what I understand.

1). Trump is a cornered fucking rat.
2). Trump's had one form of mental illness or another for his entire life, but now...at age 79, the same age at which Fred Trump found himself in the grip of dementia...he's more unstable than he's ever been, and therefore, more unpredictable.
3). Roberts, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett are going to have a "GO AHEAD...TRY AND FUCKING STOP US" attitude until there are enough Democrats in Congress to fucking stop them.
4). Trump and the Republicans are keenly aware that if enough Democrats get Congressional seats, the Trump "agenda" slows to a crawl and it's "HELLO, THIRD TRUMP IMPEACHMENT."

In the last 48 hours, I've seen every doomsday scenario about how Trump, MAGAt Moses Mikey, the SCOTUS are all going to work together to flip the midterms if Dems win.

I lived through "Bush v Gore." As Lou Reed sang, "THOSE WERE DIFFERENT TIMES."

I know that if the people named above made their move, there would be some Americans who would just roll over and go "oh well."

Then there are the Americans who WOULD NOT.

And I'm putting my smart money on that second group, and I will not live in fear and anxiety and hand-wringing over what Trump and his boot-licking ass-kissing toadies "might do" a year from now.

I hope everyone reading this feels the same.
