"UNIFIL chief says has 'no evidence' of Hezbollah rebuilding in south Lebanon"

This is the headline from an article from the Lebanese news site "Naharnet" from 12/08/25. But yet the bombing and attacks by Israel continue. The article notes this from the Commander of the UNIFIL force:

"In an interview with Israel's Channel 12, Abagnara said that the presence of Israeli troops along the Blue Line constitutes "a flagrant" violation of U.N. resolution 1701." Of course nothing will be done except to note the violation. Words on a paper with no practical consequences or effect. He notes in the article it is not just near the border where he finds no evidence of Hezbollah rebuilding but in fact it is from the Litani River on south.

The situation remains a flashpoint to the ceasefire and he also notes:

"He warned that the slightest mistake could lead to a major escalation, describing the security situation as "really fragile."

So the land grab in Lebanon continues.
